Randolph residents run to stop mental illness stigma
Holbrook Sun - 5/26/2018
Several Randolph residents participated in the 44th Interfaith Social Services' Stop the Stigma 5K at the Kennedy Center in North Quincy.
More than 500 supporters participated. The race featured families and individuals running and walking on a route through Quincy's Squantum neighborhood and along Boston Harbor.
Participants ran in support of friends, family and neighbors living with mental illness or addiction. The event raised more than $40,000 for Interfaith's programs, including the New Directions Counseling Center. The nonprofit counseling services provide a safety net ensuring that everyone is able to receive care regardless of health insurance status or income.
